Soup Kitchen
The project is situated at no: 9 Shelley road Salt River.
Our feeding program serves between one hundred and sixty and two hundred meals to homeless children, youth and adults five days per week. We use this opportunity to deal with antisocial behavioural issues amongst people living on the streets, to bring awareness of available service, referring them to our shelter or any other shelter who has available bed space. Our social worker assist with identity document and social grant applications etc. We network with the improvement districts in the area and the City of Cape Town creating jobs via the EPWP (Extended Public Works Program)
Homeless people visiting the feeding project has the opportunity to attend our life skills and skills training programs to empower themselves. All the programs are totally dependent on the kind donations from businesses and members of the public.
